I feel compassion for everyone trying to honestly fix our country’s dire economic situation right now.
We have all played a role in its’ creation. The patient has been in the ICU unit for over three years now, and it is still on life support systems. We have tried many interventions, but they have not proven successful, the only success is that the patient is still alive. We know now that there is no one cure for job creation, but it’s
the root of the economic problem.
If partisan politics are not put aside, right now, immediately, we have the real possibility of a total collapse of our economic system.
We learned nothing from the 9/11 attacks or the Tucson shooting, we have “not” come together as a people, we are further apart, and we have created our own precarious
destiny.
I hope it is not true but the only way we may be forced to focus and compromise on our “national unified interests” may sadly be rioting in our streets or food lines.
Oh, here is a novel thought we could try: why not try discontinuing the televising of the upcoming NFL games or college football games until we begin to take meaningful
specific action.
Maybe, that would be the wisest and boldest course of policy action that we could presently
take.
