I would like to commend the swift attention of our Boulder County Animal Control Officers in an emergency Monday afternoon at the corner of 7th and Pearl. A puppy had been left in an overly heated car, and a passerby called in for help. The first officer on the scene monitored the car for temperature readings as attempts were made by a neighbor to open the door with a coat-hanger. This was not successful, and the temperature reading inside the car increased rapidly. Our BCAC had to make a decision in order to save the dehydrated puppy’s life. They broke the window. After water and a wet blanket, they whisked the little one to safety. Their decision was not rashly made. They did what had to be done. Thank-you. Our Boulder County Humane Societies appreciate how much they help in all of our endeavors to work together, relying on each other.
