On the first Earth Day in 1970, I was on the Quadrangle at the University of Illinois protesting Dow Chemical and other like-minded companies.
This week, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, a Dow AgroSciences herbicide will be sprayed on the grounds of the Shanahan Ridge Condominium Association, ignoring a petition which was signed by most of the condominium owners.
The management company, Prima One Management Services, Inc., and the Board, lead by the President, David Hatfield, are bound and determined to spray the herbicide that can cause systemic organ effects, cancer, birth defects, and reproductive effects. This information is from the Material Safety Data Sheet published by Dow AgroSciences.
I am appalled that I am protesting Dow and its products in 2010 in Boulder.
