LASTNIGHT’S free jazz concert at Macky Aud. sponsored by CWA, was magnificent, with 12 jazz artists onstage to a soldout house. For those of you who missed it you missed the BEST.
It occurred to me that with so many Jazz Lovers in the audience why is it the jazz venues in town have trouble getting live audiences and that the best jazz station in the US, KUVO, 89.3fm, denver, has trouble getting members for their community station?!
Venues are: The Blending Cellar, Trattoria on Pearl St, The Boulder Outlook Hotel, Carellis Ristorante, Jazz at Johnnys and also St Julien and Boulderado Hotels.
The whole thiing seems like an Oximorron (sp?).
