The Town of Superior is in transition from a housing “boom town” to one striving to mature in vision and process. Residents continually feel challenged being “heard” – with concrete issues around new subdivisions, water-rights, capital projects, an unrealized “land swap”, an unfinished park as we sign on for another, and more. Some issues have existed for years, with public inputs largely ignored.
In this light, I encourage Superior residents to vote for Sandy Pennington, George Kupfner, and Chris Hanson as Town Trustees.
Sandy has diligently studied the town’s issues and practices for well over a year, in attendance at numerous Town Board and Planning Commission meetings. Her emphasis on conducting town business with publicly-visible processes, asking revelatory questions, and searching for answers through the breadth of public/residents’ inputs is much needed.
George, recently appointed Trustee to fill an unplanned opening, brings a first-hand view for non-Rock Creek parts of town. George has attended town meetings for years, advocates on residents’ concerns, and brings a wealth of knowledge of history and agreements that impact Superior to this day.
Chris has listened with real concern and appreciates issues that uniquely affect Original Town and Sagamore. In addition, his vision to further diversify the business base of Superior is needed.
So I urge residents of Superior to make it a priority to help in the evolution of this town – get your votes out for George, Sandy and Chris!
