As in these corporations where the CEO depends on its professionals to provide the required technology to provide a good product, the CEO/Superintendent has thousands of teachers at his command to provide a good product, a high level of education for all students.
The solution of the current financial crisis is not found in juggling the staff, increasing class sizes and or eliminating classes. Also, the solution will not come from advisory committees who are comprised of education-oriented people, parents of students and civic leaders.
The solution can be found by seeking help from those who have a high level of business expertise, the CEOs of our major corporations. They have the answer and they need to be asked to help. After all these businesses are depending on the schools to provide good employees. Dr.King and the School Board members should ask for their help now!
