We’d like to thank all the people involved Friday night that helped bring Steve Priem to safety from the back country behind Eldora ski area. He had fallen while cross country skiing and was not able to get out on his own. None of us ever realize how important it is to have the emergency services of the Boulder County Sheriff, Rocky Mountain Rescue, Eldora ski patrol, the state ham radio operators, Pridemark paramedics, and the Boulder Community Hospital, until we really need them. It was a very cold and miserable night to be out in, and these people were there in the awful conditions to help Steve. We realize that other emergency people from other counties were involved and we thank you too, but the groups mentioned, were the ones we were aware of that evening when he was brought out.
We live in a very special place to have such wonderful people to help us when we need them. Thank you.
