You know, I am beginning to re-think my opposition to the recent Supreme Court decision to allow no cap on corporate sponsorship of our elected officials. I mean, if our elected officals can do nothing but say “NO!” to the people of this Country and if the people of this Country can do nothing to control the infighting in our elected officials,(and ourselves, obviously) the government is broken and cannot effectively rule (the movie “Idiocracy” becomes more real each day). Perhaps we need foreign governments to decide policy for us as most of them have national health care. Even if they don’t bill themselves as “christians” they actually care about and take care of their citizens. As our Country sadly moves closer and closer to theocracy (guess we really look up to the Taliban, eh?) the less Christ-like we become. We suddenly have a nation so consumed with worrying about legislating “moral values” and worrying about how others are living their lives we have forgotten how to live our own to the best of our abilities. I am seriously worried that America is on the road chosen by Rome in its decline. We are so obsessesd with how everyone else behaves, we can no longer even govern ourselves. Hang your heads in shame Americans!
