Isn’t it time we just put an end to this Sarah Palin song and trance in our more serious political discussions?
There is no serious leader in any serious country in the world, no serious political observers in this country either for that matter that I’ve heard of that see her as anything more than a sideshow. A freaky, unusual albeit uniquely American sideshow absolutely one but in essence it is also an empty, (and inane?) ‘aw shucks, gee whiz guys and gals,’ sideshow nonetheless. Her supporters myopic and precious I’m sure, few that they are have not seemed able to garner any broad national support and credibility. Palin continues to be a super PR machine though nonetheless.
Dead serious Republicans, those who plan to reinstate and reassert themselves into the American government, the really hardcore and serious strategists or technicians as it were, cannot possibly be thinking of anything else than how to superficially exploit her superficialities before discarding her.
She will never, absolutely, positively ever become the President of this country this lifetime. And I know that Liberals and Progressives said that about Reagan, but let us get that clear right here and now. Ms. Palin, most of us reading this ‘knew’ Ronald Reagan and love him or hate him, you madam are no Ronald Reagan.
Doesn’t this poor lady realize that Tina Fey, the Daily Show and Colbert Report along with numerous of other expert comedians have gone no where? Not to mention Keith Olbermann nor the Master himself David Letterman? That they salivate at the prospect of her returning I’m sure to the political arena as do I. Her gobbly-gook and deceptive gibberish, which I’m sure she perceives as some form or fashion of sophistry will be vigorously challenged at every turn. What has relieved me above all about her is that I see so many women from Center Left liberal, to Republican Right Reagan Conservative being the ones leading the charge against her. She doesn’t fool the majority of them as women, period. Amen.
