I believe it is outrageous that the residents of upper Sunshine Canyon cannot get their road paved. All the neighbors are in agreement
including the delivery people like FedEx, UPS, the Mailman, etc.
Every neighbor wants the road paved.
Even the commissioners admitted that the recent vote of NO, was political and influenced by unnamed residents of Gold Hill. If we have commissioners with no integrity, they should be “fired” or voted out of office.
And then I hear, editors of the Daily Camera, thought it was nice to
keep the gravel road so the neighborhood would have a rural feeling.
Whoever said that, or anyone who agrees with that opinion, is arrogant to the extreme. How dare someone who does not live in the area, try to tell the people who do live there, how their neighborhood should look or feel! Sunshine Canyon is a residential area with nice homes all the way up the canyon. The gravel road is more dangerous, causes more wear and tear on cars, and bad for health of the neighbors. It is one of the heaviest traveled gravel roads in the county.
