Easy FM Radio:
Most of us who live here have a long. long list of reasons why we believe that this is a very special place. This letter will describe one of the many, many reasons that my wife and I feel so blessed to live here. Perhaps you might say that it is a minor one, but we are very thankful for it. Because of the geography between here and Denver, FM radio reception in our area can be less than satisfactory. That could potentially eliminate one key source for the music that most of us enjoy so much. Fortunately, as we understand it, our local officials were sensitive to that when they negotiated the agreement with Comcast back when the cable company wanted to become our local cable provider. A part of the contract was a clause which required that Comcast deliver, through their basic TV cable signal to individual customers, a nice variety of Denver FM radio stations.
A surprisingly small number of people are aware of this feature and, therefore, they miss out on getting strong FM reception. The array of music which is readily accessible through this vehicle includes soft rock, jazz, country, hard rock, hip hop and, most notably for our household, one of the best classical music stations in the country (KVOD). In order for you to take advantage of this feature, you simply need to do a “splitter connection” off of your TV cable and directly into the cable connector on your home, office, business’ or institution’s stereo receiver. Pretty neat, huh?
So, while we have a lot of reasons to be grateful for living here, this is a sincere thanks to our local officials and to Comcast for delivering this one, which is available to any cable customer in our area.
