Where are you, Mark Udall? Your constituents need you.
The debate over health care has our country split and confused. People are angry. Every last one of us has a stake in the manner in which our medical treatment will be delivered and yet you are nowhere to be found.
On 8/1/09 I sent you an email asking when and where you would be speaking to us on this topic. I received a generic form letter back from you that had no mention of health care and a return email address of do__not__reply@markudall.senate.gov. Not encouraging. I checked back regularly to see when you would be scheduling your town hall meetings. Nothing. Then, on 8/13/09, your website posted a message which said that last month (July) you had held a teleconference with your constituents on this issue. You chose to answer seven health care questions from that teleconference on your website. That’s it?
For an issue of this magnitude, I am disappointed at your decision to restrict your comments to cyberspace, especially since many people, including the elderly, do not use computers as a source of information.
Come out to your people, Mark Udall. Hold town hall meetings and answer our questions. We need you now.
