I don’t usually read that part of the paper.
But, the hard hitting article on how the economy has effected some was hilarious.
Some are forced to hire personal chefs and masseuses due to the stress!
And, the pictures of our members of the Chamber of Commerce mingling among one another, making more contacts, eating the finest catered food money can buy.
Tough times!
You should call this section, VOICE OF THE CHAMBER.
These are the same “business leaders” you wrote about on the front page the other day, fearful that our city council is out of balance, not listening to them, so they’d like to see more members of their club on council.
All the while, they are embedded in the city budget process, advising council on budget cuts and giving extra tax breaks to certain businesses.
Do you think these “business leaders” are in a position to know your pain? Do they represent you?
One more thing. Why does the “Chamber” run the Visitors Bureau?
